"Water Modification, Watershed Analysis and the Specialized Contractor:When and Why Do I Need Help"
Presented by Dave Boyd, Senior Forester,
Hancock Forest Management, Cathlamet, Washington
Dave Boyd is a second generation forester with Hancock Forest Management in the Pacific Northwest. He joined Hancock Forest Management in 2003 and is now Senior Forester based in Cathlamet, Washington. Prior to joining Hancock Forest Management, Dave worked in log and timber acquisition and as a timber faller. His educational background combines an undergraduate degree in Economics from Willamette University with a graduate degree in Forest Engineering from Oregon State.
Dave will use real world examples to step through using specialized contractors to maximize operable area within a harvest unit: When to call a Geotech and why spend money on water typing (stream shocking).
